YAZO portable power station supporting an outdoor live streaming and mobile media setup

Outdoor Events &
Mobile Media
Power Solutions

Portable power can support live streaming, mobile media production, temporary AV equipment, lighting and field electronics where stable grid access is limited.

Simultaneous AV loads Portable LiFePO4 power Expandable runtime

Power the Equipment That Keeps the Event and Media Workflow Running

Outdoor event power should be planned from the equipment that may operate at the same time, not from event size alone.

01

Live Streaming

Streaming encoders, laptops, routers, monitors and communication devices can be planned as one connected load.

02

Mobile Media Production

Camera charging, field monitors, laptops and portable editing equipment can be included according to their actual ratings.

03

Temporary AV Equipment

Small audio systems, control electronics, LED lighting and display-related equipment can be supported when the combined load remains within system limits.

04

Charging & Support

Camera batteries, radios, phones and portable electronics can be included in the charging and runtime plan.

Large PA systems, large LED walls and other high-power stage equipment should be evaluated from their actual electrical specifications before a power station is selected.

Calculate the Real Event Power Requirement

Simultaneous Load

Add the running power of equipment expected to operate at the same time.

Peak Demand

Check startup or short-duration peak demand where the connected equipment requires it.

Required Runtime

Define how long the event, stream or production session must operate before recharge is available.

Mobility

Determine whether the system stays at one location or moves between booths, media areas or production zones.

Recharge Access

Confirm whether grid charging, compatible solar charging or scheduled recharge windows will be available.

Outdoor Conditions

Consider dust, splash exposure, temporary shelter, ventilation and protected placement.

Plan for the Deployment Environment

01

Noise-Sensitive Areas

Battery-based power near media, interview and audience areas.

02

Outdoor Protection

IP54 options and protected placement.

03

Regional Electrical Requirements

100–120V / 220–240V / 230V, socket and frequency configuration.

EPS Support for Selected Media Equipment

Venue grid to YAZO portable power station to selected media equipment

Confirm Continuity Requirements

Y1 Lite and PPY-C2048H list EPS transfer times of up to 20ms. EPS should not automatically be treated as an online UPS or zero-transfer source.

For equipment with strict continuity requirements, include the device type and transfer requirement in the inquiry.

Extend Runtime & Recharge Between Event Sessions

PPY-C2048H + Y2-BAT

Use compatible Y2-BAT expansion where the PPY-C2048H platform requires longer operating time.

SP-6000 + SP-BAT4608

SP-BAT4608 provides 4608Wh and is designed for the SP-6000 system.

Model-Specific Compatibility

Confirm connection method and supported battery quantity for the selected main unit.

YAZO portable power station recharging from portable solar panels at an outdoor event

Combine stored energy, compatible battery expansion and scheduled recharging according to event duration and available charging sources.

Avoid Common Event Power Planning Errors

Ignoring Simultaneous Load

Several moderate devices may exceed the system limit when operated at the same time.

Underestimating Runtime

High output does not guarantee enough stored energy for a long event or production session.

Assuming Large AV Compatibility

Large PA systems, LED walls and other high-power equipment should be checked from their actual electrical specifications.

No Recharge Plan

Multi-session or multi-day deployments need a realistic grid, solar or staged recharge strategy.

Wrong Outdoor Protection

Do not treat portable consumer-style systems and IP-rated industrial systems as equivalent in exposed environments.

Wrong Regional Version

Match voltage, frequency and socket configuration to the destination market and connected equipment.

Configure Power for Event Contractors, Media Teams and AV Integrators

Event Production Contractors

Plan around equipment mix, event duration, number of active zones, mobility requirements, recharge access and deployment quantity.

Mobile Media Teams

Review the actual streaming, monitor, router, lighting and charging loads together with the expected production duration.

Distributors & AV Integrators

Build a range from compact portable systems to rugged and higher-power platforms, together with compatible batteries, solar panels and regional electrical versions.

Outdoor Event & Mobile Media Power Questions

What size power station is needed for an outdoor event?+

Start with the equipment that may operate at the same time. Add the running load, check any peak demand and define the required runtime before selecting battery capacity and output.

How do I calculate power for live streaming equipment?+

List the encoder, laptop, router, monitor, lighting and charging devices that may operate simultaneously. Use their actual power ratings rather than estimating from device type alone.

Can one power station run multiple AV devices at the same time?+

Yes, if the combined running load and any short-duration peak demand remain within the selected unit's technical limits.

How do I estimate event runtime?+

Runtime depends on battery capacity, actual connected load, conversion losses and operating conditions. Use the real equipment list rather than a fixed runtime claim.

Can event power stations recharge from solar panels?+

Selected models support compatible solar charging. Panel voltage, current, power and connector path should match the power station input specification.

What does EPS mean for live streaming equipment?+

EPS transfer describes how quickly a supported power station can switch during a grid interruption. Selected models list transfer times of up to 20ms. EPS is not automatically equivalent to an online UPS.

Is IP54 suitable for outdoor event deployment?+

IP54 provides defined protection against limited dust ingress and water splashes. It does not mean the unit is waterproof or suitable for immersion or prolonged heavy-rain exposure.

What information is needed for a bulk event power quote?+

Provide the event type, equipment list, running and peak power, required runtime, quantity, destination country, voltage and frequency, outdoor conditions, charging method, expansion requirements and any OEM or packaging needs.

Your contact and project information will be used to respond to your inquiry and support related business communication. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
