Construction SitePower for Remote &Temporary Worksites
Plan portable industrial power around equipment load, startup demand, runtime, worksite conditions and available recharge options.
Start With the Equipment That Must Operate on Site
Construction site power should be selected from the actual load list. Different tools, lighting systems and field devices can have very different continuous and startup requirements.
Power Tools
Check rated and startup demand for selected drills, saws, grinders and other electrically powered tools.
Site Lighting
Plan temporary LED lighting and portable work lights from the combined operating load.
Temporary Site Office
Include laptops, routers, communication devices and monitoring equipment where required.
Field Equipment Charging
Include battery chargers, inspection equipment and service devices in the simultaneous-load calculation.
Size Worksite Power Around Load, Runtime and Environment
Continuous Load
Add the running power of equipment expected to operate at the same time.
Startup Demand
Check short-duration startup demand for motors, compressors and tools where applicable.
Required Runtime
Define the operating window between charging opportunities or other available power sources.
Site Exposure
Consider dust, splash exposure, temporary outdoor placement and ventilation requirements.
Recharge Access
Confirm grid availability, compatible solar charging and planned charging between shifts.
Electrical Standard
Confirm destination voltage, frequency, socket type and any high-voltage equipment requirement.
Rated Power and Surge Power Solve Different Problems
Use rated AC output to determine whether the power station can support the equipment expected to run continuously.
Use surge capability to review short-duration startup demand. Do not treat surge output as the normal continuous-load limit.
Information Needed for Accurate Sizing
- Provide equipment names and rated watts.
- Provide startup or surge watts where available.
- State how many devices may operate simultaneously.
- Confirm tool voltage and required operating time.
Build the Remote Worksite Power System Around Four Decisions
Worksite Loads
Tools, lighting, temporary office equipment and charging devices.
Industrial Power Station
Match continuous output and surge capability to the load profile.
Expansion Battery
Add model-compatible stored energy when runtime is the main constraint.
Recharge Source
Plan grid and compatible solar charging around the operating schedule.
Industrial Power Stations for Different Worksite Loads
Use the product class to narrow the technical direction, then confirm the exact connected equipment, regional electrical version and recharge plan before ordering.
R3 - 3600W IP54 Industrial Power Station
For mobile worksite applications where a 3kWh-class LiFePO4 platform, wheeled chassis and confirmed IP54 rating are relevant to selection.

SP-6000 - Higher-Power Worksite Platform
For higher-load projects requiring stronger startup headroom and region-specific high-voltage AC configurations.

R5 - 5kWh IP54 Energy Reserve
For projects where larger stored energy and IP54-rated industrial deployment are more important than moving to the highest-output platform.

Add Compatible Battery Capacity When Runtime Is the Constraint
Expansion increases stored energy. It does not automatically increase the main power station's continuous AC output.
SP-6000 + SP-BAT4608
SP-BAT4608 provides 4608Wh and is designed for SP-6000 systems, with up to 8 expansion batteries listed for the platform.

R3 + Y2-BAT
R3 supports the 2048Wh Y2-BAT expansion battery, with up to 15 packs listed as compatible.

R5 + 5040Wh Expansion Battery
The 5040Wh expansion battery is compatible with R5 systems, with up to 15 packs listed for the platform.

Plan Grid and Solar Recharge Around the Work Schedule
Remote-site energy planning should combine stored energy with realistic recharge access. Selected industrial units support mains charging and substantial solar input, but the correct charging profile depends on the exact model and regional configuration.
- Use the approved AC input range for the selected market version.
- Match PV voltage, current, power and connector path to the main unit.
- Use shift breaks or lower-demand periods as planned recharge windows where practical.
- Do not rely on a fixed charging-time claim without the actual input condition.
Solar Panel Directions
PE-240W: 240W output, 24.6V open-circuit voltage, 20.5V working voltage and 11.7A maximum working current.
PE-100W: 100W output, 24.6V open-circuit voltage, 20.5V working voltage and 4.88A maximum working current.
Confirm panel compatibility with the selected power station before finalizing the array.
View Portable Solar Panels →IP54 Protection for Dusty and Splash-Prone Worksites
IP54 Worksite Protection
R3 and R5 list confirmed IP54 protection, making the rating relevant where limited dust ingress and water splashes are part of the worksite environment.
Worksite Placement
Use stable placement, keep ventilation areas clear and protect the unit, cables and connections from immersion, prolonged heavy rain and physical damage.
Confirm 120V, 240V or 230V Requirements Before Bulk Ordering
US Projects
SP-6000 uses separate 120V and 240V output paths in the US configuration. R3 also has a dedicated 100–120V profile.

European Projects
Selected industrial configurations support 220–240V or 230V output. Confirm the exact product and socket arrangement.

Order Requirements
State destination country, equipment voltage, frequency, socket type, simultaneous load and startup demand.

Avoid Common Worksite Power Procurement Errors
Ignoring Startup Demand
A tool may run within the rated limit but require substantially more short-duration power at startup.
Too Many Simultaneous Loads
Several moderate tools can exceed the system limit when operated at the same time.
Selecting by Wh Alone
High battery capacity does not guarantee sufficient continuous or startup output.
Wrong Voltage Version
Match the ordered electrical profile to the destination market and connected equipment.
Treating IP54 as Waterproof
IP54 does not support unrestricted immersion or prolonged heavy-rain exposure.
No Recharge Plan
Stored energy must be matched with realistic charging access between operating periods.
Configure Worksite Power for Contractors, Rental Fleets and Distributors
Contractor Procurement
Group projects by equipment mix, simultaneous load, startup demand, required runtime and available charging source.
Rental Fleets
Plan several output and capacity classes so one fleet can cover different customer loads, runtime targets and regional electrical requirements.
Distributor Programs
Combine industrial power stations with compatible batteries, solar panels and market-specific electrical versions.
Construction & Remote Worksite Power Questions
List the equipment that may operate at the same time, record rated power and startup power where available, then define the required operating time. Select both continuous output and stored energy from that load profile.
Rated power is the continuous-load planning value. Surge power is short-duration headroom for startup demand and should not be used as the normal continuous-load limit.
It can support selected tools when continuous load, startup demand and voltage remain within the selected unit's technical limits. Provide the tool ratings and simultaneous-use pattern before selection.
IP54 provides defined protection against limited dust ingress and water splashes. It should not be interpreted as full waterproof protection or unrestricted heavy-rain exposure.
If the main unit already provides sufficient output, add a compatible expansion battery where supported. Reducing nonessential simultaneous loads and planning recharge between shifts can also extend practical operating time.
Selected industrial models support solar charging. Match panel voltage, current, power and connector path to the selected power station rather than assuming one panel works with every model.
Use the destination electrical standard and the voltage requirements of the connected equipment. State country, voltage, frequency and socket type before the final product version is selected.
Provide the equipment list, rated and startup power, simultaneous load, required runtime, quantity, destination country, voltage and frequency, worksite conditions, recharge plan, expansion needs and any OEM or packaging requirements.
